About Me¶
I'm Neil Santos. I live in the Philippines with my family and a possibly unreasonable number of computers. I've been playing with computers in some way or another since the mid 90s, before later on discovering the joys of software and programming.
My love affair with programming was kindled by my fascination with LiteStep. I started off with creating themes for it, then attempting to help module developers with ideas. Eventually, I even tried my hand at writing a tiling shell replacement for Windows (the first one of its kind, if I remember correctly).
Under my alt, ne0_akt, I was fairly active in the early 2000s BBS revival scene, even managing to contribute here and there, primarily in the form of utilities. Those were pretty fun times.
It's been a while since the days when I dabbled in C and Pascal, though. Nowadays, I mostly work with shell scripts, Python, and OpenTofu, while doing consulting work as a DevSecOps engineer for Noise Digital.
Your blog hasn't been updated in a while¶
Yes, I know. I revived my blog from the state it was in hoping I'll finally be able to write new posts.
Just need to muster up enough motivation to actually do that.
